Ayurveda
Health is an emergent state of coherence, arising when the body’s systems communicate freely and efficiently.
Ayurveda
Ayurveda is an ancient healing system that can be traced back at least 5000 years. Ayurveda means the science or wisdom of life. It is a methodology of healing for the individual that essentially addresses how to live a healthy, peaceful, balanced life in all its aspects: physical health, mental health, emotional balance, spiritual well-being, and social connection. It also addresses environmental considerations, dietary and lifestyle habits, daily living trends and seasonal variations. Ayurvedic Medicine is a system for treating and managing symptoms and illnesses. Ayurveda teaches respect for nature, appreciation of life and the knowledge to empower the individual in taking responsibility for their own health.
Ayurveda has precise and detailed ways of determining individual mind-body constitution according to its theory of patterns. At the heart of Ayurvedic medicine is the theory of the three Doshas; Vata, Pitta and Kapha. It is a deep and profound method of patterning and determining which elements in nature are most prominent in your body and mind through structural and long-term tendencies. Ayurveda does not simply examine diseases as pathogenic invasions or chemical imbalances but in reference to the life force of the individual and their unique constitution and physiology, their lifestyle, and the environment they live in, psychology, consciousness, and aspirations.
